Hokema B11 G-Dur 440Hz Melody Kalimba

The B11 "Melody" kalimba from Hokema is carefully handcrafted from solid American cherry (Black Cherry). The surfaces are treated and polished with vegetable oils and waxes. All 11 reeds are precisely tuned in the G major scale, making it possible to play a multitude of well-known songs.

But the "Melody" lends itself just as well to improvisation and intuitive playing. For playing technique and sonority reasons, we have alternated long reeds and short reeds in the arrangement of the sound reeds.

The six short reeds have been bent so that their ends are at a higher level than the long reeds, so that the thumbs can easily reach them.
