THE SHRUTI BOX
The Shruti Box, also called surpeti, is a perfect accompaniment for modal music, improvisation, vocal work, overtone singing, music therapy and all kinds of Indian music. It gives a full and sustained drone sound, robust, mobile and extremely easy to handle. To start, you must first unlock the wooden latches of the bellows on both sides. Then you open the levers for the notes you like. Eventually you gently move the open bellows to one side - and your drone unfolds!
